They Seek Them There!!
They Seek Them There!!
Hello, I wish you a Happy New Year,
Well this year really has started with a bang hasn't it, snow everywhere.Very nice for a week, it makes you feel you have just stepped out of a Christmas card.
The bad news is that the sheep decided to go Christmas shopping on Christmas Eve, Monty went to check on them, and low and behold they had gone again. When I rang Mary, Monty's wife she told me that Monty and his gang went searching for them, and found them in the same place that Rhodri and I found them before.
Monty decided to take them home. It turned out to be a good thing, because since then the meadows had been covered in snow.
I do miss them but I’m sure they have done a good job and hopefully we will have good grasses and flowers this year.
I have managed to put down chicken wire on the new walkway that Rhodri constructed, to make it safer to walk on when it’s wet. I’m really pleased with it and can not wait to see it when everything grows up around it. It should then look like a secret path .
The constant rain has caused the river to flow very high at times. It was lovely walking through the valley when the snow had fallen, it gave me something else to look at, foot prints, not just humans but creatures.
I wish I could just look at them and recognise them straight away, but I have to go home and look in books.
There is still work I could be getting on with but I find it a bit cold to spent too much time in the Valley, it’s my fingers and toes that get cold the most.
We are getting lots of birds on the feeders in the car park, plus the squirrels which try to eat the wire basket that the nuts are in.
Well I think that’s all for the time being. If anything crops up which I think you would be interested in I will let you know.
HH
