Christine Maciocia
I have had an artistic flair all my life, before I ever created
2D and 3D work. I always enjoyed interior decorating and surrounding
my home with colour.In my later life I am taking a B.A. Fine Art
degree which has channelled and made use of my creative imagination.
I enjoy working with 'found' materials, especially metals. I also
get great pleasure making lamp shades and handbags in collage,
using exciting colourful fabrics, many antique ones. My work is
inspired by my inner playful child, and the ideas inspired by
my experiences in life, which find expression through my work.
I like my work to be enjoyed for what it is, but each piece represents
a deeper meaning to me, about the journey of my varied and well
trodden life.
